The association's political focus is clearly on Berlin and Brussels. Nevertheless, the association also cooperates with the Swiss authorities. However, Switzerland is closely linked to the European Union through the bilateral agreements. Through the free movement of goods, European product regulations also apply in Switzerland. For this reason, the Bernese and Brussels authorities cooperate with each other. Recently, for example, Switzerland has launched various initiatives that address the energy efficiency of catering equipment. The association is in partnership with the relevant authorities.
