The German Consumer Product Safety Ordinance specifies which requirements apply to consumor goods and in particular food contact materials and articles and what substances of concern may be released from them to the human body or to food. The ordinance serves to implement the Framework Regulation (EC) No. 1935/2004 and, among others, Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011 on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.
